Leica and Flash were intended as a gift to mark Martha’s birthday a little over 14 years ago. When we lived and worked in Scotland it had been impractical for us to have a dog, so when we moved to Ireland and the circumstances allowed, that all changed. It seems difficult to separate the two things now, our life in Ireland and our life with dogs.

Leica remains Martha’s constant companion, when she first came home to us she would nestle in Martha’s lap as she fell asleep. 14 years later she still does.
